Expertise for dangerous animal owners
Our dangerous animal training courses are aimed primarily at private owners who would like to expand or deepen both their theoretical and practical knowledge of so-called dangerous animals (venomous snakes, giant snakes, poisonous lizards, large lizards, crocodiles).
The dangerous animal expertise can also be used to demonstrate expertise to authorities. In such a case, please clarify with your authority in advance whether they recognize the dangerous animal expertise certificate from VDA / DGHT Sachkunde GbR.

Please note! Participation in the dangerous animal course is only possible if a knowledge test in accordance with Section 2 or Section 11 of the Animal Protection Act in the area of terrariums has already been completed or equivalent proof is provided when registering for the dangerous animal course!

Please also note that just the theoretical part If necessary, it can be offered as online training! Practical exercises and examinations are only possible as face-to-face events.

If you have only completed the theoretical part, you will receive a certificate of participation.
You can then register for a “Dangerous Animals” course and complete the practical part - the theoretical part is then considered to have been completed (as long as the written exam has been passed) and the course fee is reduced accordingly.

Please direct any questions about the course schedule, etc. directly to the organizer specified in the registration! The course instructors are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the registration forms.

Your path to dangerous animal expertise
is very simple:
1. You select your seminar and exam location and date.
2. You order the dangerous animal knowledge textbook in our shop.
3. You load the registration form (click on Register under the picture!) down.
4. You send the registration form (by email / post / fax).

If you deal with poisonous snakes privately or professionally, you and rarely those around you are exposed to a particular danger: the consequences of a bite accident that can never be completely ruled out.

In a few accidents you will need a venomous snake serum to prevent consequential health problems.

Serum has now become extremely expensive. Up to €5,000 per serum unit excluding procurement costs is now not uncommon.


Serum is not stocked by public health authorities in Germany and neighboring EU countries.
The private procurement of serum in small quantities via certified delivery channels is unrealistic and uneconomical for many reasons (including minimum purchase quantities, etc.).
